Mental Health Emergencies

On the occasion of world mental health day, I am publishing this article to everyone who have good mental health and also addressing the people who are taking professional mental health help. The theme of the year is access to services mental health in catastrophes and emergencies.

In everyday life, we face many challenges, but in emergency situations we need more emotional support than ordinary or regular day to day life situations.

Counsellors and psychologists should be appointed in hospitals and various health care centers. The situations of burn out should be handled in proper way and on the emergency basis.

Access to mental health services are often disrupted due to damaged facilities, staff shortages and surging demand. There is no instant services available so burn out happens.

To avoid burn out, one should take help of professionals on the regular basis. The burn out is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, overwork and lack of balance in life.

It’s a growing concern globally, affecting individuals due to their professions. We have experienced such situation during the major pandemic of COVID-19. During that period we got psychological help by mental health professionals. In many cities online help was provided by psychologists effectively. It proved to be very useful

Diary writing is more than just scribbling down your daily activities—it's a journey into your own mind, a space where thoughts find clarity, and feelings are untangled. A diary serves as a private mirror—reflecting your thoughts, worries, dreams, and observations. It allows you to pause and process your experiences, creating a narrative of your life that's authentic and uniquely yours. Writing down your thoughts can be therapeutic.

Teamwork

Teamwork is working mutually together. It means working one or more persons at one time to achieve the spesific goal. One should form a community to do the work. Communication and understanding in all members are the key for the success of the team work.

It is not neccessary to have more people at a time. Our mind - body cordination, decision making and taking actions accordingly can also count as teamwork. Cooperation instead of competition make sense to do the work more peacefully.

I think there are some key aspects to teamwork they are explained as follows.

Key aspects of teamwork:

Collaboration: Team members work together, coordinating their efforts and sharing information.

Shared goal: The team has a common objective that they are striving to achieve.

Interdependence: Team members rely on each other's contributions and skills.

Communication: Effective communication is essential for sharing ideas, providing feedback, and coordinating activities.

Cohesion: A strong sense of unity and shared purpose within the team.

Trust: Team members trust each other's competence and reliability.

One should adopt and implement these aspects in our real life situations.
